MARQUETTE — Seven area girls basketball players earned Honorable Mention status when All-Upper Peninsula awards were determined on Wednesday by the U.P. Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association.

In Divisions 1-3, two area players earned this status — 5-foot-8 senior Ellie Miller of Westwood and junior Taylor Sanregret of L’Anse.

In Division 4, five players from the area made HM, including 5-8 sophomore Riley Johnson of Superior Central and 5-7 senior Allie Radcliffe of Republic-Michigamme.

Three players from Baraga also made the D-4 list — sophomore Corina Jahfetson, senior Jaylyne Lindemann and 5-7 senior Rylie Koskinen.
