At Republic, the Hawks won the battle of two quarters, but it was the other two that spelled all the difference in this game. R-M held a 9-7 lead after one quarter and played even with the Wolverines, 8-8, in the fourth.

But Mid Pen put together a gigantic 36-point second quarter to all but end this one, building a halftime lead of 43-22.

The Wolverines sank seven 3-pointers in the pivotal second period, including five by Daisy Englund, who finished with six triples and 25 points. Twenty of those points were scored in the second.

Allie Radcliffe tried to counter her for the Hawks, scoring 16 points, including seven in the second. Teammate Leah McCracken added 12 points, while Alexa Radcliffe had six points on a pair of treys.
