Cougars fall 64-19 to Norway
NORWAY — McKenzie Clifford canned a game high 23 points, while Kassie Gyselinck netted 19 points, as Norway cruised past Superior Central Tuesday night.
The Lady Knights, who improve to 2-17 on the season, got out to an early lead in the first quarter and never looked back.
“We were able to dictate the pace of the game defensively from the start,” said Norway head coach Joe Tinti. “S-C never quit and were scrappy throughout the game. I am very proud of the girls and they deserved this one.”
“I like how we came together tonight and played well. Everyone played tough defensively and it was nice to have Kali (Stanchina) back tonight. This team has never quit all year and earned tonights win,” Tinti said.
Stanchina had been in concussion protocol the last couple of games.
Norway won the JV game, as coach Kevin Kangas team remains undefeated within the Skyline Central on the season.
