The Wildcats (3-6, 2-3 GLIAC) won their second straight conference road game Sunday with a 13-3 victory at Lewis in Romeoville, Illinois. It followed a 14-8 win over Maryville in St. Louis one week earlier.

Seven players scored for NMU in the Lewis contest as Northern jumped out to a 10-0 lead and outshot the Flyers 35-14.

Junior Graison Ringlever is approaching the 100-point and 100-goal mark, which would be a first in the three-year history of the program. She now has 94 points, scoring 83 goals with 11 assists in her career.

This season, she has registered a team-high 22 goals to go with two assists to lead the squad with 24 points.

Last season, she became the first Northern player to achieve 100 draw controls and leads the squad this year with 43. She also leads the GLIAC with 10 free position goals this spring.

Two of her teammates achieved career highs on Sunday as sophomore Bianca Kinder tallied four goals and junior Angelica Bogden posted three assists.

CSP (6-4, 3-2) has won three of its past four games, defeating Lewis, Davenport and Maryville while losing at McKendree.

The Wildcats are seeking their first-ever win over the Golden Bears, who hold a 4-0 advantage in the all-time series.

Friday’s game will also raise money and awareness about childhood cancer through the Vs. Cancer program that is part of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
