Fundraiser success
To the Journal editor:
It was a quick decision to put together a fundraiser for UPAWS. Flyers were made and distributed around the neighborhood inviting people to support UPAWS by baking, selling items, collecting wish list items, bedding and Econo slips.
During the two-day event, we met neighbors, saw friends and family, all of them supporting our local shelter. We collected a carload of wish-list items and bedding and made over $380.
Thanks to all who baked, donated items, collected items and Econo slips.
