To the Journal editor:

Elissa Kent (in a recent letter) had some factual information about Social Security but, it was enacted to provide some income to seniors when they stopped working, seniors who paid into it their whole lives!

Thanks to liberal government, Social Security is available to anyone. That’s why it’s broke! Workers continue to pay into a system that they will not likely collect from. The age limit keeps going up.

I wrote before, when I retired several years ago, the Social Security office waiting area had only three seniors with white hair. The rest of the applicants looked like a daycare facility babies, children, young moms (and dads) maybe, all looking for a hand out they never earned.

Elissa, politicians are not getting rid of Social Security. This is a liberal lie brought up every election season.

The free-stuff crowd is dominating the election along with the low-information voters!

Elissa, you need a reality check. Look at the decline of the country under this leadership.

God help America if it continues another eight years.
