To the Journal editor:

Thank you hardly seems enough to say to the people who recently held food drives which filled the shelves of our food pantry.

We, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Ishpeming, do thank you for all the work you did when collecting the food.

We are grateful to the following: The Wesley United Method Church and Dick Derby; Westwood High School for collecting and bringing the food they collected to the pantry; and all of the U.S. Postal Service carriers who picked up the food on their routes.

We also thank everyone in the community who donated to these food drives. With your help, we are able to continue to help our neighbors in need.

God’s blessing to all who helped in any way.
