Team Poop on Cancer would like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement of our fundraising efforts for the wig salon at UP Health System.
This year’s theme was Rack Management: Avoid a rack attack with routine mammograms. Once again, the hosts, participants and attendees of the Trenary Outhouse Classic Races welcomed us with much enthusiasm and donations from the day’s event were over $1,500.
I would like to thank my construction captain, Carol Mills and our team princess, Megan Greer, as well as the rest of the team for their enthusiasm. A special thanks to Teresa Pepin my sister and two year running mate.
We’d also like to thank Jim Reevs of The Mining Journal, Jim Koski from Q107, Danielle Davis at ABC-10 and WLUC TV-6 for their coverage of our efforts
Last but not in any way least, thanks to the exceptional volunteers and stylists who man the wig salon with care and respect for each and every client who comes their way and for all whose donations make the wig salon possible.

On behalf of the Ishpeming Ski Club, I would like to thank everyone who helped make the 128th Annual Ski Jumping Tournament at the Suicide Hill Ski Bowl successful.
From the volunteers that spent countless hours behind the scenes preparing for the event to the hundreds of people that came out to cheer the skiers on the evening of the event, the community support of this sport is exciting.
Local law enforcement, ambulance crews, public works, service organizations and businesses work cooperatively with the club providing volunteers or equipment to make this popular community tradition happen.
Because of the local crowds that cheer, encourage, and provide the festive atmosphere, the ski jumpers from around the world look forward to this annual event. “We come back because we’re family! It’s not just competition, it’s fun!”
