To the Journal editor:

These proposed changes in site selection and generally accepted agricultural and management practices are in direct conflict with the Michigan Right to Farm Act.

The idea of weakening the strongest Right to Farm law in the country is not progress for our state’s agriculture.

The Michigan Department of Agriculture is supposed to help preserve our right to farm and promote agriculture, not deter it.

These changes are not based on science, but rather to serve corporate and individual agendas. I would like to believe that our 5 appointed Ag Commissioners are able to see these changes as having a negative impact for farming in Michigan.

Please do what is right for the citizens, not the corporations.
