MARQUETTE, MI - Ruth L. “Dolly” Hintz, age 72, longtime Marquette resident, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the Norlite Nursing Center where she had resided for nearly 2 years. Ruth was born in Marquette on November 16, 1951, a daughter of the late Ruth (Hanninen) and James Hintz. She was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School. Ruth had worked at the H.W. Gossard Co. in Ishpeming and continued her education at NMU where she received her degree as a registered nurse. She worked as a Nurses Aide at the Mather Nursing Center for several years.
