Shay R. Elliston
MARQUETTE, MI – Shay Ryan Elliston, 7, of Marquette, died Sunday evening, August 1, 2021, at St. Vincent Hospital, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, unexpectedly due to an illness.
He was born March 12, 2014, in Lansing, to Ryan and Jessica (Coleman) Elliston.
Shay was a student at Northstar Academy in Marquette, raced BMX, and a member of The Upper Peninsula Luge Club. He was a smart boy and a daredevil who loved fishing, hockey and soccer and was good at everything he did. His family will remember him as a giving person whose smile could light up a room.
He is survived by his parents, Ryan & Jessica Elliston of Marquette; sister, Zia; grandparents, Paula (Timothy) Coleman-Booms of Haslett, MI, Brian (Jeri) Behnke-Elliston of Charlotte, MI and Belinda (Richard Cobb) Harwood of Vermontville, MI, great-grandparents, Richard (Margaret) Coleman of Bath and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Shay’s Life will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2021, from 1 to 5 pm, at Lakenenland. At 3 pm, there will be a time to tell stories and share memories of Shay.
