ESCANABA — Bay College in Escanaba announces the names of the students who have earned recognition and membership to the Dean’s List for attainment of scholarly excellence during the Winter 2024 Semester. To be selected for the Dean’s List, a student must earn a 3.50 grade point average out of a possible 4.00, and must have completed 6 or more credit hours for the semester. Honor Credit Union awards local scholarships

MARQUETTE — In its annual Community Commitment Scholarship program, Honor Credit Union recognized and supported two high school students from the area. Marquette Senior High School’s Josie Matheny and Negaunee High School’s Mick Kumpula both won the scholarship of $2,500. HCU’s program aims to recognize and support high school seniors who have demonstrated dedication to their communities alongside academic excellence. ESCANABA — Two long-time Escanaba businesses, Jim’s Music and Enterprises-USA, parent company of Delta Fence and Construction have been recognized as two of the 2024 awardees for the Michigan 50 Companies to Watch Award, presented by Michigan Celebrates Small Business.
