The annual Michigan Association of School Boards Certified Board Member Award ceremony/dinner, recognizing outstanding school board members and boards of education, was held recently at the Marquette-Alger Regional Educational Service Agency. Julie Shaw of Gwinn, currently on the MARESA Board of Education, received two awards: the Certified Board Member Award and the Award of Merit.
