Deni Bowen shows off her Daydreamers backstage pass during a recent show at the Ojibwa Casino in Harvey. Her sister Kelly December takes her to wherever the band plays locally whenever possible. She’s always wearing a Daydreamers T-shirt and decks out her arms with the name of the band. But she is not just a fan of local music. The 44-year-old has several Special Olympics medals to her credit. In fact, she has been participating in the program for three decades. Deni is an avid power lifter, but the athlete has also tried her hand at figure skating, basketball and swimming.
