M-123 resurfacing in Newberry starts Monday, July 6

NEWBERRY — The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing about $1.3 million to resurface M-123 in Newberry. The project will include cold milling, resurfacing, guardrail improvements and pavement markings, extending the lifespan of the roadway and increasing safety for motorists.

Work will start Monday, July 6 and is expected to be completed by
Friday, Sept. 25.

Drivers should expect single-lane closures with traffic regulators. An 11-foot width restriction will be in place during the project.

Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 11 jobs.

Starting at $4.00/week.
