Iron ore bike tour set for Friday
NEGAUNEE — The Iron Ore Heritage Bike Tour will take place on Friday.
Participants may enjoy a leisurely, guided bike tour on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail, led by historian Troy Henderson. Stops along the way include the Jackson Mine and Old Town Negaunee.
Registration is $25. A registration form is available at bit.ly/biketours2022.
Individuals may drop by the museum on select Tuesday afternoons for stories of Upper Peninsula history, courtesy of a variety of experts. Programs are also available on the Michigan Iron Industry Museum Facebook page.
August programs include “Lost and Found: The Henry B. Smith” on Tuesday and “The Find of a Thousand Lifetimes: The 35th Anniversary of the Story of the Gorto Site Discovery” on Aug. 16.
