DNR advisory council to meet

MARQUETTE — Michigan Department of Natural Resources deputy director Shannon Lott and Wildlife Division chief Jared Duquette will attend the DNR’s Western Upper Peninsula Citizens’ Advisory Council meeting Wednesday in Marquette Township.

Among its agenda items, the council is scheduled to receive department updates from Lott and be introduced to Duquette. In addition, a forest resources division outlook will be provided, as well as wildlife division small game, waterfowl, bear and deer season hunt projections.

The meeting will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Marquette Township Community Center, located at 1000 Commerce Drive.

Michigan Department of Health and Human Services COVID-19-related recommendations and mandates in place at the time of the meeting will be followed.
