Work session set virtually for today

MARQUETTE — Today’s Marquette City Commission work session will be held virtually via Zoom video conferencing beginning at 4:30 p.m. with a regular meeting following at 6 p.m. The work session will be streamed on the City of Marquette YouTube channel and the regular meeting will be also streamed via YouTube and on Channel 191. Livestreams will have at least a 20 second delay.

Public participation will still be available through video conferencing, phone conferencing or written comment. There will be two public comment periods for each meeting, one at the beginning and one at the end. Comments are limited to three minutes and speakers must state their name and address; written comments are limited to 500 words and must be submitted by 3 p.m. Monday using the form at marquettemi.gov/publiccomment or directly to shobbins@marquettemi.gov.

For those wishing to make a video comment will need to visit us02web.zoom.us/j/87507960859 on a computer or smart device that has a camera. For those wishing to call in and make a comment will need to call 312-626-6799 and enter the meeting ID 875 0796 0859.

Officials noted that participants will be placed into a virtual lobby/on-hold until the public comment portions of the meetings are reached. Participants are recommended to follow the meeting on Channel 191 or YouTube to know when public comment is coming up.
