UPSET arrests Calumet woman

CALUMET — A 57-year-old Calumet woman was arrested on Friday after a 13-month investigation led Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team detectives conducted a search warrant for delivery of methamphetamine.

UPSET detectives received information about meth being shipped to the suspect on Thursday and intercepted a package of a half ounce of meth intended to be delivered to the apartment.

The suspect was brought to the Houghton County Jail on two counts of delivery of suboxone and two counts of delivery of meth, additional charges are pending, officials said in a press release.

The suspect’s name will not be released until after her arraignment in the 97th District Court, Houghton County, according to an UPSET press release.
