1 injured in 2-vehicle crash
MARQUETTE — One person sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash that took place Saturday afternoon in Sands Township.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that occurred at 1:17 p.m. at the intersection of M-553 and County Road 480.
A 2013 Mazda four-door Sedan driven by 30-year-old Dana Pakulski from Houghton was heading south when she failed to stop at the intersection. Pakulski collided with a 2017 Buick SUV driven by Marquette-area resident Clyde Randell, 80, who was already in the intersection crossing M-553.
Pakulski and her son were unhurt. Randell received minor injuries and was transported to UPHS-Marquette for observation.
Pakulski was cited for failure to stop at a stop-and-go signed intersection. All occupants were wearing seat belts.
