The Gift of Reading is a lifelong gift that begins with reading to young children from an early age. Valerie Beaudoin is shown reading to her children, Isabelle, Kayleigh, Mackenzie and Grayson. Everyone is encouarged to join the Marquette Alger Reading Council in donating new books to be given to children and adults of all ages and agencies such as Harbor House, Beacon House, the veterans’ center, etc. Collection boxes will be located at area schools, Peter White Public Library and Snowbound Books.
