Amarah’s Princess Parade

Above, Elsa from the Disney feature film “Frozen,” center right, played by Eliisa Gladwell, chats with attendees at Amarah’s Princess Parade at Presque Isle in Marquette on Saturday. The park was a sea of taffeta and tiaras in honor of the third annual event to celebrate the joys of childhood while raising funds for Amarah’s Light, a nonprofit organization created to help families who are dealing with the loss of a child. The event was inspired by Amarah’s love for the fairytale characters. “She wore (her princess costume) everywhere,” said Stacey Filizetti who cofounded the nonprofit with her husband Wayne, Mandy Wyatt and Lisa Johnson after the Filizettis lost their 4-year-old daughter Amarah in September 2015.
