MARQUETTE — The Michigan State Police St. Ignace Post will be hosting an open house from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Manistique Detachment located at 401 E. Lakeshore Drive in Manistique.

The Michigan State Police invites everyone to take part in the post open house being held this year at the Manistique Detachment. The open house will have numerous displays and demonstrations including: K-9, Emergency Support Team, Dive Team, Tactical Bike Team, MSP Recruiters, Crime Lab, Bomb Squad, classic patrol car, and a driving simulator.

There will be light refreshments and a fun atmosphere for all ages.

Troopers will be conducting child seat safety inspections. Anyone that would like to have their child seat inspected to ensure that it is properly installed in their vehicle can stop at the detachment and the inspection will be conducted free of charge.
