2 teens killed in Wisconsin crash ID’d

FLORENCE, Wis. — Two Florence (Wis) High School students who were killed in a motor vehicle crash on Friday have been identified. The driver, Isabella M. Burrows, 16, of Homestead, and passenger Paige F. Raspor, 16, of Spread Eagle, both died.

The vehicle was traveling north on County N, one mile north of Power Dam Road in Commonwealth Township when it failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle crossed the centerline left the roadway, hit a tree and burst into flames upon impact, according to a press release issued by the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.

Assisting the Florence County Sheriff’s Office at the scene were the Homestead and Florence Fire departments, Aurora-Homestead Rescue Squad, Beacon Ambulance and Florence County Coroner’s Office.

The Wisconsin State Patrol will be doing a reconstruction of the crash which remains under investigation.
