City traffic signals get upgrades
MARQUETTE — The city of Marquette will be performing a citywide traffic signal upgrade beginning now and continuing through October. Expect intermittent lane closures for the following intersections throughout the city:
≤ Washington and Seventh streets
≤ Washington and Fifth streets
≤ Washington and Fourth streets
≤ Washington and Third streets
≤ Washington and Front streets
≤ Front and Spring streets
≤ Fair and Lincoln avenues
≤ College Avenue and Seventh Street
≤ College and Presque Isle avenues
≤ Wright Street and Presque Isle Avenue
≤ Hewitt Avenue and Third Street
≤ Ridge Street and McClellan Avenue
≤ McClellan Avenue and Wright Street
≤ McClellan and Fair avenues
City officials are reminding motorists to exercise caution and pay close attention to all traffic control signs, lane divider barrels and cones, and to be aware of all construction workers and equipment in the construction zone.
