Amarah’s Light parade Saturday

MARQUETTE — Amarah’s Light non-profit announces the fourth annual Amarah’s Light prince/Princess Parade: Walk Run Family Fun set for Saturday at noon at Presque Isle Park in Marquette.

Registration starts at 11 a.m. and the walk starts at noon, followed by fun for the whole family. Activities will include kids games, bounce house, T-Shirt tie-dyeing, nail painting, Disney character appearances, prize drawings, and more. The event will wrap up with prize drawings at 1:30 p.m.

A press release from Amarah’s Light says: “Let the kids pick whatever costume attire they feel special in and bring them down to Presque Isle to take a walk with them around the island and enjoy celebrating the joy of being a child. It’s always a beautiful moment when you can just watch your child be free, innocent, and happy! Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy this fun family event while raising awareness of this important non-profit resource.”

Participation is by donation. Registration can be done at the event.

Amarah’s Light is a non-profit organization created to help families dealing with child loss. The hope of Amarah’s Light is that others working through grief can find hope and light through the support of others as they learn to live again. Amarah’s Light provides care packages and other support to newly grieving families as they begin to navigate the process of loss.
