Walk a Mile in My Shoes — Pathways Community Mental Health will present the third annual Marquette County “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” rally designed to increase awareness of the stigma associated with requesting help with mental illness as well as intellectual and developmental disabilities. This family friendly event will be held at the Marquette Commons at 112 S. Third St. in Marquette from 1-4 p.m. Registration will take place between 1 and 1:30 p.m. The event will feature live entertainment, informational booths, community speakers and free healthy snacks. The one-mile walk will begin at 2:30 p.m.

Diabetes support — group meeting from 5-7 p.m. at the Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum for parents of children living with type 1 diabetes. The group will be meeting every third Thursday of the month. Parents will have a chance to meet and discuss issues, concerns, and get advice from other parents who may be going through similar situations with their children. Snacks will be served. Arbor Day — At 11 a.m., there will be tree planting at Park Cemetery, by the fit strip, in honor of Arbor Day and the volunteers who create and maintain 12 demonstration flower gardens sites in Park Cemetery. The volunteers are primarily MSU extension Master Gardeners.

Bingo — Bell Auxiliary is sponsoring a senior luncheon and bingo every third Friday of the month. The luncheon/bingo will be at the Ishpeming Senior Center from noon to 2 p.m. There is no charge.
