MARQUETTE — Tasty Reads, a book group for readers who like to cook, will focus on “Comfort Food Diaries” by Emily Nunn at its noon Jan. 8 meeting in the Peter White Public Library’s Shiras Room on the upper level.

Reeling from her brother’s suicide, Nunn first turns to alcohol to self-medicate. After a stint at the Betty Ford Clinic, she turned towards a different path, choosing to visit family and friends to share stories, memories, and recipes. In this memoir, Nunn not only describes her journey to recovery, but also shares numerous recipes in what she calls her Comfort Food Tour.
