Repair cafe — The Transition Marquette County Repair Cafe will be open from noon to 4 p.m. in the Marquette Arts and Culture Center in the lower level of Peter White Public Library. The public is invited to bring small and medium sized items in need of repair or adjustment, such as toasters, sewing machines, clothing, lamps, electronics, and other households items. Peter Pan — Superior Arts Youth Theater will present the 1954 Broadway Version of J.M. Barrie’s classic tale “Peter Pan” at the Forest Roberts Theater at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Advance tickets are on sale: $15 for adults and $9 for students. Tickets purchased at the door are $17 and $11. Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.nmu.edu (there is a print at home option), by phone 906-227-1032, or in person at any NMU ticket outlets: Berry Events Center, University Bookstore, Superior Dome, or the Forest Roberts Theatre.

Dance — The Richie Yurkovich Band will be at the Ishpeming VFW Post, 310 Bank St., from 2-6 p.m. The cost is $10 per person at the door. Refreshments and a meal or snacks will be on sale as well. There is no admission charge to attend this event which is sponsored by the Hiawatha Music Co-op and the Carroll Paul Memorial Trust Fund of the Peter White Public Library. Music jam —  From 2-5 p.m. the Peter White Public Library will host a traditional music jam in the library’s community room.

VFW fundraiser — The Gwinn VFW Post 5670 and its auxiliary is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat barbecue dinner, hosted in part by B Dogs BBQ. The event will be at the post. Food will be available from 4-8 p.m. and there will be a bucket raffle for door prizes, as well as baked good and craft donation tables. Then the bands Spun and Tuesday Jones will perform starting at 9 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are $11 for adults, $6 for kids 6-12 and free for kids 5 and under. Contact the Gwinn VFW Post for tickets. Call 346-5670 after 4 p.m.
