CALUMET — The Village Council accepted with regret the resignation of Village Manager Amber Goodman during the regular Sept. Village Council meeting. Her last day will be Oct. 3.

The position is posted, she told the council, due to the emergency nature of the position.

The post states that the Village Manager is the key administrative and financial leader for the Village of Calumet.

“I have offered to do some hours after I leave,” she said, “mostly a weekend or rare evenings.” Trustee Andrew Ranville said he thanks Goodman for her service, as did Trustee Pam Que. Trustee Ken Olkkonen said Goodman was excellent to work with.

Also discussed was the changing of hours the Village Hall will be open for business.

Currently, the hours of operation are listed on the village’s website as MF – 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
