MARQUETTE — The Marquette Police Department has identified the victim in a Sunday murder as Patrick Allen Parker, 61, of Marquette.

On Sunday, the suspect, Curtis John Contois, was lodged in the Marquette County Jail after being apprehended by officers of the MPS following a homicide that took place that day in the 200 block of Furnace Street in Marquette.

Contois was lodged on the charge of homicide-open murder, a felony that carries a life sentence. He was arraigned in the 96th District Court on Monday. Contois, who was denied bond, remains lodged in jail.
