The Iron Mountain Music Jams are held the last Saturday of the month at the Crystal Lake Senior Center from 1-4 p.m. This is an acoustic jam and welcomes players from all levels. There is no fee and listeners are welcome. The upcoming jams will be Friday.

ARTISANS AT THE FORGE
Aug. 4 and 5
10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Iron Range artisans display and demonstrate traditional metalworking, woodworking, and textiles from the Industrial Age. Period music, food, demonstrations, old- fashioned children’s games.
“IRON ORE AND THE CIVIL WAR”
Sept. 27 and 28, school groups and Sept. 29
9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Civil War Artillery Encampment featuring military camp life; costumed interpreters; cannon demonstrations; cooking demonstrations; period music; children’s games and activities. A two-day educational event for scheduled school groups (Thursday and Friday) and general public (Saturday).
