MARQUETTE – Honor Credit Union is inviting area residents to join in honoring the retirement of Marion Hains and to celebrate the 43 years she spent working in the financial industry.

To celebrate, an open house will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Honor Credit Union in Marquette, 2424 U.S. 41 West in Marquette. The event is open and free to the public.

Hains has worked at Honor Credit Union’s Marquette branch for nine years. She began her career in the financial industry as a teller on Dec. 2, 1976, at the Marquette Mall office of First National Bank & Trust. Hains has also served on the board for the Marquette Chamber of Commerce, the Marquette Township Business Association, the Westwood Mall Association and Zonta Club of Marquette County.

“It has been an absolute pleasure to have personally worked with Marion over the last 25 years,” Adele Jacobson, Honor’s Marquette branch manager, said in a press release. “She’s genuinely committed to doing the best thing for each person she works with, and I wish her the best in her retirement. She will be greatly missed by all.”
