To the Journal editor: Trigger laws have been firing left right and center, since Roe versus Wade was overturned. Guns have also been firing left, right and center. The U.S. has experienced 160 mass shootings in the first 107 days of 2023. It’s much worse than an everyday occurrence; there are three mass shootings every couple of days! I would like to see common-sense gun control laws on the books that are triggered by the next mass shooting.

To the Journal editor: I am writing with possible concern about a sight being considered for the new veterans home. I am not a chemist and cannot say if a Superfund site is really ever clean. My concern or wonder is whether the only sight being discussed per TV for a new veterans home is an old dump Superfund site. It is my understanding whoever ends up owning the property will be required to do regular testing to ensure the sight is still safe.
