Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center to offer monthly VA 101 classes

IRON MOUNTAIN — The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center will begin offering free monthly VA 101 classes Oct. 26 to help veterans learn about the benefits, health care programs and other services available through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The classes will be held from 5-6 p.m. on the last Monday of each month in the medical center’s second-floor waiting room. Negaunee notes November leaf pickup dates

NEGAUNEE — The city of Negaunee will offer two citywide leaf pickup dates in November through its contract with GFL, with collections scheduled for Monday, Nov. 2, and Monday, Nov. 16. Residents must bag all leaves and place them at the curb in front of their homes, along the edge of the road, by 7 a.m. on the scheduled pickup dates.
