Sharon Kay Colvin

MARQUETTE, MI – Sharon Kay Colvin passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at home in the loving care of her family and U.P. Home Health and Hospice.

Sharon was born August 4, 1941 in Miami, Oklahoma to Marjorie (Baze) and Olin Chambers. As a young girl she moved to Texas where she lived most her adult life until coming to reside in Marquette in 2013. Sharon always said she had a mansion just over the hilltop, in that bright land where she will never grow old. And some day she will walk those streets of gold. Mom, I bet you are running down those streets of gold….we will miss you.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey L. Pruitt and daughter, Janah R. Pruitt both of Marquette, and youngest daughter, Jennifer Susan (Carl) Greene of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Julianah (Shannon) Ghanavati of Ishpeming, Bethany (Hieko) Ehernburg of Lakeway, Texas, and Hillary (Dillon) Kapacik of Spring Branch, Texas; great granddaughter, Isabellah Ghanavati; and great grandsons, Henley and August Ehernburg and Rhett and Bran Kapacik. She is also survived by her sister, Gayle (Arvie) Stevens of Paris, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. B.M. Colvin in 2013; her sisters, JoAnn Boutwell and Ann Horton; brother, Bill Walker; and grandson, Jackson A. Pais II.
