CLARK TOWNSHIP — Troopers from the Michigan State Police St. Ignace Post have arrested a 25-year-old following a deadly traffic crash in September that claimed the life of Zackeri Meingin of Cedarville.

In the early morning hours of Sept. 1, troopers responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident on 3-Mile Road near Nye Road in Clark Township in Mackinac County. Meingin was a passenger in the vehicle.

The results of the 7-month-long investigation prompted the Mackinac County prosecutor to charge the driver with operating while intoxicated causing death. The suspect’s name is being withheld pending arraignment.
