Negaunee girls win, boys runners-up in track

NEGAUNEE — The Negaunee girls were winners and Miners boys runners-up at a four-team high school track and field invitational meet held at the Negaunee High School track on Wednesday. The Miners scored 103 points in the girls meet to almost outpoint the other three teams together. Houghton was runner-up with 58, Calumet third with 48 and Westwood fourth with four points. The boys meet was quite a bit closer with Houghton coming out on top with 70 as Negaunee was runner-up with 51. Westwood came in third with 38 while Calumet had 21.
