Culver’s to reopen today after ‘alleged threats’
MARQUETTE — Culver’s Restaurant in Marquette Township is expected to reopen today after being closed yesterday due to what police term “alleged threats” made against the restaurant.
The eatery, located at 3033 U.S. 41, was closed after police received a report of alleged threats made. Currently, there is not any known danger to the public, police said in a written statement.
Michigan State Police from the Negaunee Township post are actively investigating the report. Based on the information available at this time, the threats appear to have been directed specifically at the Marquette Township Culver’s location and not at any specific individuals.
When the investigation began, the restaurant had temporarily closed as a precaution in response to the reported threats. It is expected to reopen today.
