Two people injured in motorcycle crash

MARQUETTE — Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash on Sunday evening in Marquette Township, the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office reported.
At 7:50 p.m. Sunday, MCSO was dispatched to a personal-injury crash involving a motorcycle on County Road 550 near Eagles Nest Road.
A 34-year-old Trenary man was traveling northbound on Eagles Nest Road and drove off the road at the north intersection of County Road 550. The motorcycle crashed on County Road 550.
A 23-year-old Marquette woman was riding on the motorcycle at the time, MCSO said.
The driver was transported by ambulance to UP Health System-Marquette for severe but not life-threatening injuries.
The female also received severe but not life-threatening injuries, but was not transported by ambulance.
Assisting MCSO were the Marquette Police Department, the Michigan State Police, UPHS EMS, Marquette Township Fire and EMS, Marquette Detailing & Performance and Marquette County Central Dispatch.
The crash remains under investigation.
