Crews working to restore power in Marquette, Houghton counties
The Upper Peninsula Power Company said this morning that crews are working to restore power in several areas in Marquette and Houghton counties following Sunday nights’ storms.
Brett French, vice president of business development and communications for UPPCO, said a tree had broken along Excelsior Street in Ishpeming and damaged UPPCO equipment. A tree also had broken and came down on a powerline south of Ishpeming on Marquette County Road 581.
French said crews are working in those counties to restore power. For a current list of power outages, visit https://www.uppco.com/outage-center/
