ISHPEMING – Gabe Eppert and Dan Makela each scored 16 points to help Gauthier Insurance defeat Republic 79-63 in the Ishpeming Armory Men’s Basketball League on Oct. 24.

Brian Mattila scored 17 for Republic.

Wings & Things downed Tino’s of Negaunee 69-46 as the winners’ Brian Frisk scored 13 points and Tino’s had Jason Argall net 15.

U.P. Insurance dropped Congress Pizza 89-52 despite Congress getting 18 points from Jordan Windahl.

Bell Forest doubled up Meyer Family Vision 62-31 as Brett Zambrowski scored 22 points and Rich Ledy and Tim Ryan totaled 20 for Meyer.

On Oct. 17, Gauthier downed Wings & Things 80-48 with Eppert scored 17 and Brad Waters 12 for the winners.

Bell Forest beat Republic 45-36 as Bell’s Boone Bell scored 18 and Mattila had 10 for Republic.

U.P. Insurance zipped past Meyer Family Vision 83-43 with Larry Burnette and Mike Rubick each scored 18 points for the victors.

Congress snuck past Tino’s 46-44 as Windahl netted 12 points and Ty Millimaki 11 for the winners and Bobby Carlson of Tino’s getting 20.
