The 5-foot-10 senior guard from La Crosse, Wisconsin, was named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week after she pumped in a career-high 33 points in the Wildcats’ 83-77 victory over visiting Northwood last Wednesday at Vandament Arena.
Weisbrod, who leads the conference in scoring at 18.7 points per game, knocked down 8 of 16 on her 3-point attempts, making exactly 50%, including four in the opening five minutes that staked NMU to an early 18-6 lead.
For the night, she was 12 of 23 from the field, or 52%, with her eight triples missing by one her career best, which also happens to be the Northern record.
After quieting down during the middle of the game, she added another 10 points in the fourth quarter to insure victory when the Wildcats’ lead was cut to 54-48 entering the period.

She not only is far and away the GLIAC leader with 47 made 3s and 112 attempted, but leads all of NCAA Division II with 3.92 made triples per game.
With NMU ranked No. 14 in the country with an 11-1 record, Northwood was unranked but joined the Wildcats as one of the top teams in the Midwest Region.
Weisbrod also pulled down four rebounds and made just one turnover in 36 minutes court time.
Along with her 3-point prowess, she is fourth in overall field-goal shooting in the league, an amazing number considering that well over half her attempts are 3s, 112 of 179. Her overall shooting percentage is .464, while her 3-point shooting is No. 2 in the GLIAC at .420.
Just for good measure, she’s No. 23 in the conference with 1.3 steals per game.
Northern has another week off for the holidays before returning to action on the afternoon of New Year’s Day, hosting GLIAC foe Davenport at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, at Vandament Arena, then entertaining national No. 1 Grand Valley State (10-0) at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3.
Interestingly, especially for Weisbrod, GVSU and Davenport are the Nos. 1 and 2 teams in the league in lowest opponents’ 3-point shooting percentage, .237 and .241, respectively.
