MARQUETTE – Checker Bus has received the Transportation Safety Exchange approval.

TSX identifies higher-quality motor carriers (those least likely to put passengers or a shipment at risk), rather than reactively regulating a motor carrier after an adverse event. This is the highest safety certification a company can receive in the transportation industry. Checker Bus went through an audit of records and vehicle inspections to achieve this approval.

The TSX approval now formally recognizes us for these standards we’ve always upheld. It is quite an accomplishment, which will allow us to be part of the nationwide network that currently services the NCAA. I am proud to house one of the largest transportation companies in Michigan right here in the U.P. This TSX list just reiterates our growth and success in the industry.”

Checker Bus is the third company in Michigan to receive this honor and the first in the Upper Peninsula.
