To the Journal editor: I am concerned about the eyesore on Lakeshore (Boulevard), the old Coco‘s restaurant site. The grass is hip high. The outside of the building is surrounded with growing weeds, part of the old signage still exists and often a boat and vehicle are parked on the property. It all looks unkept and quite awful. Lakeshore (Boulevard) is heavily traveled by locals and tourists. Should we have to look at this blight? Can anything be done to make this area presentable?
To the Journal editor: Our granddaughter enjoyed watching Ms. Rachel's educational video for toddlers and preschoolers. So I was amazed to hear that Ms. Rachel was the target of hateful criticism for saying publicly that killing and starving children in Gaza is wrong. First of all, who could get that angry with someone who makes videos, teaching toddlers and cows say "moo?" Second, she is giving aid and comfort to Hamas? Really? I suspect that every news report about bombing a hospital or gunning down hungry families as they run toward aid trucks is the best recruiting tool Hamas ever ...

What a delightful way to provide both beauty and “good taste” to our downtown! Residents and tourists alike can relish this “at home” touch. After a year and eight months of continuous bombing in Gaza, neighborhoods have been completely destroyed, including hospitals, schools and universities. The civilians of Gaza have been forced to flee repeatedly to escape relentless bomb attacks. Months ago, the only source of clean water was cut from Gaza, and food aid trucks were denied passage to reach hungry people.
