NEGAUNEE — The Negaunee St. Vincent de Paul food bank would like to thank the many organizations and individuals for their generous donations and assistance used in the preparation and distribution of Christmas dinner baskets and gifts for children in the Negaunee and Palmer area this year. We filled 51 family baskets for a total of 145 people, 85 adults and 60 children. The number of adults and children we helped this year increased by a total of 41. To the Journal editor: Government of “We the People” listens, not suppresses citizen feedback. At each election we pass the keys of government to designated drivers chartered to safely navigate America into the future, to guard and obey all constitutional laws/norms. Dear Gen. Bergman: Another week, another (homicide) in Minneapolis. An American citizen, held face down on the sidewalk, shot 10 times in the back by masked, unidentifiable federal agents. His crime? He tried to help a woman who was being tear-gassed. Their punishment? Reassigned to another part of the country where they are free to kill again.
