Bergman support needed in HR

To the Journal editor:

With the swearing in of U.S. Rep. Adelita Grijalva, D-Arizona, on Wednesday, the U.S. House of Representatives was able to vote on the discharge petition of the Jeffrey Epstein files. This petition directs the Department of Justice to release the unclassified records in their possession that relate to Jeffery Epstein.

All of the Democratic representatives in the House, along with four Republicans, voted to release these files. A name missing on the vote to release the files was Jack Bergman. Anyone reading this that has a mother, has a sister, wife or daughter should be appalled by this. There is no reason to vote no on this release, other than fealty to Donald Trump.

I personally find this disgusting. Young girls and women were sexually and mentally abused. It seems as if U.S. Rep. Jack Bergman, R-Watersmeet, would rather prove his loyalty to Donald Trump than give justice to the survivors of this abuse.

I urge you to call Bergman at 906-273-2227 and demand that he support House Resolution 4405, the Epstein Files Transparency Act, and release all of the Epstein files. If you’re uncomfortable speaking directly to his office, you may call after business hours and leave a message.

If leaving a message, please be sure to include your full street address to ensure your call is counted.

Starting at $3.23/week.
