SHF seeking grant applications for spring awards
The Superior Health Foundation has announced it is accepting grant applications for its spring 2022 funding cycle.
It’s an important announcement because of the kind of good work the agency does in the area.
Since its inception in September 2012, the SHF has awarded nearly $4.4 million in grant funding. In the upcoming grant cycle (spring) look for SHF to give out about $175,000.
“We know there are a considerable number of health needs across our region,” said Jim LaJoie, executive director of the Superior Health Foundation, in a press release. “We remain steadfast and committed to do our part to address these needs for the health-centered, non-profit organization across our beautiful region.”
The foundation seeks applications for health-centered projects or equipment purchases in the Upper Peninsula. In the past, the average fall grant award has been between $10,000 and $15,000.
The foundation’s Grants Committee will review applications and make recommendations to the SHF Board of Directors at its March board meeting.
