Robin Leonard Beaudry

CHOCOLAY TWP, MI -Robin Leonard Beaudry, 76, of Marquette, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 13, 2025, surrounded by his family and caregivers at UP Home Health and Hospice.

Robin was born on September 3, 1949, in Marquette, the son of Fred and Isabell (Fortin) Beaudry, and was raised in Marquette. Robin graduated from Marquette Senior High School with the Class of 1968. Following graduation, he proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Shortly after joining, he met the love of his life, Jennifer Patz, on a Greyhound bus. The two were married on March 29, 1969, just before Robin was deployed to Vietnam, where he served bravely on recon missions. He returned home the day before their first anniversary and was honorably discharged.

Robin and Jennifer built their life together in Harvey, where they raised their family. In 1970, he began working for Cleveland Cliffs as a production truck driver and trainer. He dedicated 32 years to the company, retiring in 2002 at the age of 52.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Robin loved the outdoors and passed on his knowledge to his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, including trips to Alaska and spending three winters in Texas. At home, he especially loved the companionship of his dog, Max. Known for his bravery, honesty, stubborn streak, and strong devotion to family, Robin led by example and cherished every moment with his loved ones.

Robin is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jennifer; daughter, Cathy (Frank) Billings of Harvey; daughter-in-law, Connie Beaudry; grandchildren, Kayla (Jay) Billings, Dylan (Abigail Clemons) Billings, Allen (Bethany) Beaudry, and Sherrie (Cody) Niskanen; and great-grandson, Christopher Niskanen. He is also survived by his brother, Fred Beaudry Jr., along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Timothy Beaudry; his parents; sisters, Nancy Greenleaf and Darlene Meyers; and brother, Raymond Beaudry.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to UP Home Health and Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UPAWS in Robin’s memory, 815 South M-553, Gwinn, MI 49841 and U.P. Home Health and Hospice, 1125 West Ridge Street, Marquette, MI 49855. Honoring Robin’s request, private family graveside services will be held.
