Carole Weder

She was born March 16, 1940 in Ishpeming, Michigan the daughter of the late Albert and Florence Quayle Tinkham. She married James Weder January 22, 1965 in Macomb, IL and he survives at home. Also surviving is their son Tim (Tonya) Weder of Jacksonville, son in law Donald Schrodt of Canton, step grandchildren Katerina, AJ, Olivia, Lindsey, Teri and step great grandson Sylas.

Carole was a graduate of Ishpeming High School, and attended Northern Michigan and Western Illinois colleges. Carole worked at Graham Hospital in Canton, Barton W. Stone Home in Jacksonville, and then with her husband Jim as owners and operators of the Winchester Bowl from 1994 until their retirement in 2015. She was a member of the Winchester United Methodist Church. Carole loved to swim and was a member of a Westerfins swim club, she loved Cardinal Baseball and attending Rock concerts.

Preceding her in death was her daughter Lisa Schrodt December 19, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Friday May 16, 2025 at the Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial will be in the Winchester City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 until the time of the service. Memorials can be made to the Winchester United Methodist Church, Winchester EMS or Winchester First Baptist Church Window Fund.
